I think what’s missing in your critique is that people have to be inspired enough by a candidate to get out and vote for them. Clinton couldn’t do this, remember in the 8 months before the general she didn’t even visit Wisconsin. Instead of taking responsibility of her failures, she’s been blaming Bernie and his supporters, it just looks petty.

Biden’s record is a perfect example of what people dislike most about politics. With that said he might very well win those constituencies, as did Hillary in 2016, and it’s still wont matter. Winning the Industrial Midwest, largely made up of working class voters, is most important in any election, and Trump, much more powerful than he was in 2016 , will pound Biden on his record, as well as his reckless son, Hunter.

I simply can’t see Biden having the mental acuity to handle himself on stage with Trump.
